Great story but the usual comment thread of mostly polarised debate is entertaining if bored. Some things never change. Substitute Apple/Android (and synonyms) for pretty much any past alternative competing technologies and most of the comments can otherwise remain unchanged.

At first, I find it strange that one element of a fantasy game would be considered an issue when the rest, including killing, is not. That said, were a game, for example, requiring my character to, say, commit rape / bugger children, etc then I too would have a problem. Thus, on reflection, I have sympathy for anyone who finds that they are forced to follow a character path in a game that they find morally unacceptable at which point the games ceases to be entertainment.On the broader point then, Read more [...]

Oedipussy

http://www.spymonkey.co.uk/oedipussy/Saw a magnificent performance at the Curve studio theatre in Leicester last night and was blown away. Just four actors in the cast and the fourth wall blown away at regular intervals as they stepped in and out of primary characters and interacted with the audience and yet still managed to draw us into incredibly emotional story moments. Doctor Who

It is no great confession to say that I a fan of Doctor Who. I have been looking forward to the start of a new series with a new actor in the lead role. Today was that day. Much as I loved the work of David Tennant (both prior to Doctor Who, and on stage in Hamlet) I felt he had done as much as he could with the character and I was happy to see him leave on a high note with an excellent body of work with the show as his legacy.
