Humanism is the view that we can make sense of the world using reason, experience and shared human values and that we can live good lives without religious or superstitious beliefs. We are not certain there is no God, for that would be an act of faith.

We took the unusual step this Christmas (2008) of hiring a narrow-boat for the week and navigating the canals of England whilst everyone else faced the normal stresses of the celebration period.
