The kids have been away all week at the Centre for Alternative Technology (http://www.cat.org.uk) in Wales with ATE (Active Training & Education, http://www.ate.org.uk, a not-for-profit organisation that takes kids on holiday). They went last week via train from Telford. someone from ATE was on-board and stepped off to take charge of any kids getting on at Telford for the ATE holiday. Apart from a phone call on the first night to tell us they arrived safely and a post card during the week, we do not hear from them until we collect them from the station the following Saturday. Very strange.

Humanism is the view that we can make sense of the world using reason, experience and shared human values and that we can live good lives without religious or superstitious beliefs. We are not certain there is no God, for that would be an act of faith.
