How hot a curry can you take?

Read an article in the Daily Mail this morning about how much our body can take in terms of cold, punching, blood lose, heat in a curry, etc. Fascinating. Naturally, the curry entry was of particular interest to me.

Eldest daughter returns from skiing trip

Her first skiing trip. Done with her school. Also her first time in Austria. It did involve a long trip each way by coach. She does not travel well and was unable to sleep on the coach which, given it is a 24+ hour trip she ended each journey in a pretty rough state. She

Chicken killer

We have just a couple of egg-layer chickens left that have been malting and not laying for a while. Their production rate had dropped off anyway and we figured that they were coming to the end of their useful productive life. My SO was in the pen replenshing their feed when the new dog bashed

electronic books

One of the things I am usually really careful about is ensuring that I take my holidays on time with my family. I do not generally make much of a song and dance about it, but I do work very hard and very long hours. Although I try to get away from the client offices

The cat has done a runner

We finally have to admit to ourselves that the cat (the only one we had left) has done a runner. Despite being with us for some 9 or so years, she got really scared by the addition of a second dog to the household. This is despite the fact that when the dog was first

The first CV

Our oldest daughter is getting to the point where she needs to think seriously about building up some work experience (and earning some money). She completes GCSEs this summer and then gets the longest summer break of her school life so far before returning in the autumn term to the 6th form to commence work
